During our trip to SXSW 2011, we had the chance to absorb lots of emerging music from all across the world. And tonight in Chicago at the Hard Rock Hotel, MOBFest Chicago 2011 kicks-off to showcase the Windy City’s own crop of up-and-coming pop, rock, power-pop and hip hop bands.
One of our favorite SXSW sets was seeing California Wives do their thing in Austin on Sixth Street, and we’re looking forward to seeing them rock the stage on their home turf along with the other bands like Makeshift Prodigy and Kids These Days. And I’m sure there’ll be a few unexpected musical surprises too.
In addition to the live tunes, fans and bands are invited to attend select panels and speed mentoring sessions led by industry pros.
We’ll be heading out there ourselves to check out the action that starts tonight, Thursday June 23 and runs through Saturday June 25!
Here’s the line-up and showtimes. Tickets are $10 each night and you can get more info at www.chicagomobfest.com
What’s Your Story?
We have our own stories to tell about past live show adventures at the Hard Rock Hotel with Lissie and B.o.B. And, as always, we invite you to share your MOBfest Chicago concert stories so we can feature them on a future episode of Live Fix Radio.
