Concert Preview: What Do We Have In Common With ObbityFest 2011?

Today we received a welcomed email from the folks behind the ObbityFest, a community run festival featuring DIY, punk / rock / psychedelic music and art from as far away as Egypt.

I always enjoy getting emails like these that express a genuine interest in the live music experiments we do here on Live Fix.

I’ve never met Matt of Tastee Productions before. But he seems to have a very good idea of what we’re all about here on Live Fix. Here’s what he had to say in the email.

“…It seems like you and your staff value the same things in music that we do in respect to what a live music show can do for the people who are involved.”

I look forward to sharing more details with you about the two-year old Chicago-based festival.

For now here’s the basic run-down on the festival and stay-tuned for more of the story behind about ObbityFest coming up on a future episode of Live Fix Radio.
