Livestream Event: Kelley James & Sundance Film Festival

Continuing our series on virtual concert experiences, we’re excited to bring you another Livestream event. This weekend the 2011 Sundance Film Festival is taking place and while I was checking out some of the events on AP Livestream page, I stumbled upon an interesting interview with singer-songwriter Kelley James.

This was the first time I had heard of James and I really enjoyed his thoughts on how he has developed his career as an independent artist.

And the main reason, I’m telling you about this interview with James is because, at about the 5:00 minute mark, he talks about his experiences opening up for Lil John and the Wu Tang Clan and how in all his varied concert performances his seeks to relate with the different crowds he plays in front off.

And to continue our WBEZ hip hop exploration we did last week, be sure to check out James’ impressive freestyle rap at the end of the interview.

You can watch the interview at www.livestream.com/aplivesundance and click on the Live Interview tab and select “Kelley James”. Check it out and let me know what you think.

You can also watch the other live broadcasts and interviews going on this weekend at the Sundance Film Festival via the player above.
