Continuing our series on virtual concert experiences, we’re pleased to bring you another Livestream event today featuring up-and-coming hip hop artist Nicki Minaj performing an exclusive concert that will virtually take you behind the velvet rope.
Later today, progressive streetwear brand Play Cloths will host a ‘One Night Stand” with Nicki Minaj to celebrate the birthday of hip hop journalist Karen Civil.
Now, that’s a fun way for anyone to spend their birthday. And as a fellow music writer, I wish Civil a very happy celebration.
Now what about this “fans behind the velvet rope” part?
We’re told that “cameras will take viewers beyond the velvet rope with VIP access to live performances from Nicki Minaj and confirmed surprise celebrity guests.”
Sound’s like fun, right?
But I’m curious to see how exactly they pull it off, and what it actually feels like to go virtually backstage during a Nicki Minaj concert.
It’s also no mistake that this “One Night Stand” is going on tonight since Nicki Minaj’s debut album Pink Friday is scheduled to drop tomorrow November 19th.
