This Friday May 21st, our friends at Gapers Block are celebrating their 7th anniversary with a party in Chicago at Metro. The show will bring together a mix of soul, pop and punk tunes from some of Chicago’s finest indie bands.
Among the bands playing is retro soul post-punk band JC Brooks and The Uptown Sound. And I’d like to share with you a music video featuring their latest and very crafty single, a swingin’ and soulified cover of Wilco’s “I Am Trying to Break Your Heart
It looks to be a great night of live music with Chicago’s Blah Blah Blah and Hollows on the bill, too.
