Tonight I’ll be covering Black Moth Super Rainbow & School of Seven Bells at the Bottom Lounge for a forthcoming Popmatters review. I have yet to see both bands live, so I’m excited to see how their live shows are.
School of Seven Bells is a Brooklyn, NY trio made up of former Secret Machines guitarist Benjamin Curtis and twins Alejandra and Claudia Deheza, formerly of On! Air! Library!,
Black Moth Super Rainbow is a psychedelic folk trip-rock collective from Pittsburgh, PA who specializes in the melodic manipulation of vocoder and other electronic sampling instruments. And they have a new album Eating Us that was just released.
With both bands touring in support of new albums that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed, there are possibilities for LSLD. But nonetheless I’m expecting to get my fix with a night filled with brilliant sonic experiments in dreamy psychedelic rock.
You can follow my live Tweets during the show at @chriscatania, And do feel free to tweet me if you’re in the house.
