Tim Fite Interview, Scary EP

In a few hours it’ll be one of the scariest days of the year, so I thought I’d pass along two quick treats since I’m all out of tricks at the moment. I’ll leave the tricking up to hip hop folkman Tim Fite. If you’re new to his weird ways or familiar with his Over the Counter Culture 2007 free download release, you can read more about him as I had the pleasure of interviewing him during the Hideout Block Party in September for Ink 19 after his performace–which I’m still trying to sort out as I dodged flying watermellons and silly beats in the final warm rays of summer’s fleeting sunshine. Once the mellons stopped flying, we also talked about his recent album Fair Ain’t Fair. It’s a good one too, but you’ll have to buy it.

Second treat: Fite is releasing a one-day only Ding Dong Ditch EP tomorrow for Halloween on his website. I can’t wait to see what he pulls out of his crazy cauldron this year. Get your own candy, ’cause once it’s gone, it’s gone, and I ain’t sharing.
