That profound and insightful tweet above got me thinking about how much your concert happiness costs. And if the concert experiences you purchased this week were truly worth the price you paid.
Yesterday, before we went to the Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival, I ate a huge bowl of homemade chili. It was hot, meaty and filled my belly up reeeeeal good.
Speaking of chili and live music (and considering the connection between live music, taste and our other senses), it’s no surprise how much that great big bowl of chili and all our concert adventures this week have in common.
It always amazes me how much happens in the world of live music in just one week. And like the fans in this photo, I hope you had a great week of shows and that your world was rocked by a plethora of live music adventures too.
If you missed any of the action here at Live Fix, don’t worry. We’ve got another exciting wrap-up to get you all caught up and ready for the week ahead.
Yesterday, Colleen and I ran in the Hot Chocolate 5k in downtown Chicago with 30,000 other crazy people in 30 degree weather.
Like most 5k races, it was a mixture of pleasure, competition, and self-determination.
Even better, it was just like writing a concert review or a blog post.
Read on to see how you, and this week’s top posts, helped me finish the race.
Ever wonder what really goes on inside the minds of bands and your fellow fans? Ever wonder what everyone is saying to each other when the music is so loud that all you can see is the mouths moving but can’t make out the secret messages the artists on stage or fans next to your are sharing? I do too. So why do we wonder?
It’s not even Halloween yet and these last two weeks have been so scary good here on Live Fix that I’m terrified to think that you missed any of these posts.
Sometimes there are concerts that are so big, so huge, so monumentally massive that words can’t describe the impact that they have on fans and bands. Yes, I’ve been to a few concerts like that. And if I were to compare weekly wrap-ups to those mega concert moments, I would say that combining the last two weeks of posts in to one Super Duper Double Bonus Weekly Wrap-up would be pretty damn close to being just like those “big, huge..” life-changing concerts. So you better buckle up and brace yourself, before you click that Read More button.
