Bon Jovi Kicks Off 2011 Tour with Livin’ On A Prayer Video Contest

Bon Jovi 2011 Animoto Contest

In 2010, as Billboard reported, Bon Jovi, joined an elite class of touring acts alongside the Rolling Stones and The Grateful Dead as the only bands since 1986, to have claimed the honor as the top-grossing act twice in three years. And in 2011, Bon Jovi continues to rock on with their fans by hosting a special interactive video contest.

Even though the concert industry had a down year in 2010, Bon Jovi was able to come out on top and they’re continuing their use of interactive video on their 2011 tour.

Here’s how:

Teaming up with Animoto, fans can quickly transform their photos and/or videos to create a personal video slideshow about their hometown set to Bon Jovi’s smash 1986 hit “Livin’ On A Prayer.”

Throughout the tour, hundreds of user-generated Animoto videos will be featured on the tour’s giant screens to accompany the band’s live performance “Livin’ On A Prayer.”

Here’s the low-down on contest details:

Starting today, fans are encouraged to create and upload their own personalized Bon Jovi music video slideshow for this unique opportunity to win a pair of tickets to the show, and see themselves jam on the big screen alongside Bon Jovi.

Official winners receive:

  • A deluxe prize VIP package including access to the VIP pre show party
  • An exclusive VIP messenger bag
  • And several commemorative VIP items

Sounds like a lot of fun for die-hard Bon Jovi fans, especially these fans who love the leadership lesson gained by rockin’ out to the iconic anthem “Livin’ On a Prayer.”

You can learn more about the contest and submit your video by visiting the official “Livin’ On a Prayer” Website at www.prayer.bonjovi.com.

If you participated in the last Bon Jovi YouTube contest or plan on submitting a video in this contest, drop us a comment and let us know how it goes, we’d love to hear your story!
