Livestream Event: My Chemical Romance Chats Live with Fans, Talks New Album

We’re pleased to bring you another Livestream event today featuring pop-punk band My Chemical Romance as they talk live with Billboard and fans about their new album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.

During the interview the band will discuss “their new sound, and the events leading up to their decision to scrap an entire year of work on the new album, before starting over from scratch.”

Danger Days (iTunes link) is a highly intricate concept album that showcases a new sound, so it’ll be interesting during the interview to hear how My Chemical Romance plans to transfer their new creative vision from the studio to the live show during their next tour.

That said, hopefully this Billboard interview will shed some light on that and let us continue our Mannish Boy exploration, because after watching the video below from their 2009 Mexico concert, a scene also captured in their The Black Parade Is Dead DVD, I’m curious to see if the band can create the same live energy with their fans in 2011.

Here’s the details for today’s interview:

  • When: Today, Thursday, December 2 at 5:30pm ET/2:30pm PT.
  • What: You can send your questions directly via Twitter using the hashtag #bbmcr
  • Where: You can watch live on Billboard’s Livestream page or tune in via the player above.
